Sometimes you wonder if there is someone else
That knows and cares the same way you do
But then you know there coudlnt be another
Though you search and search
The luck slowly fades away
Your heart acks from the cold bitterness
You see someone you want to be a good friend too
But though you feel like you'll just get in the way
You are very different from everyone else

For you hold scars
On your arms
That show the terrible neglate that you hold
You wonder if she'll ever know
You wait for her to see you sitting all alone
It breaks your heart to see her with a group of friends
but you are not part of it
you get up from the school yard bench
You slowly walk inside
you take a seat in the back of the room
she walks in
she sees you
she smiles and waves

You smile and wave back
but then she turns around
your heart sinks
oh how you want
to be her friend
but you feel that it wont work
Because your strange to others
But shee was the only one
who ever understood
the neglate you suffer
but what she dosent know
is the help and suppot a friend will offer
you can be that friend...

You walk home all by yourself
you stop by a old tree
you turn around and see her walk out of the door
you get the urge
to go over and say hi
But you stop when two boys go over to her
you drop your head
and take a step away
then you walk home all by yourself
stand in the rain
watching her walk by
you would think
she dosent care
but you know deep down that she does
so you stand
and you wait
for her to give in
and come say hello

You hear laughter
you turn around
you see the same kids that broke your soul
they grab your arms and shove you against the ground
one tear shows all your pain
as you lie in the rain
your heart hurts
as they torture you more
you stare at them
your right eye is blind
they point and laugh
make fun of you for being different
they kick dirt in your eyes
telling you that you need to be fully blind

you stand up
as the kids walk away
Your stomach twists
your feelings turn cold
your heart burns with the awful agony
You limp by yourself
down the cold wet road
you see two friends
hug and laugh with each other
one tear falls as it shows all your pain
you walk by her house
you stop and look at her window
your left eye is red
the only eye you see with burns from the soil
you wipe your eyes and walk away
you just hope that it wont be too late

she gets up
she walks towards the window
she sees you walking away
she sees your clothes are torn
she sees the limp in your leg
she sees the wounds on your face
her tears fall slowly as you give her a heart breaking look
but what tears her up the most
is seeing you struggle in the pouring rain
her pain acks
as does yours
and she is still unaware of your blind spot
she wonders why
you never come by
to say hello
She looks back outside
her eyes widen as she sees the same kids
they follow you without you knowing
they have very evil looks

she jumps up
she runes and grabs her coat
but her parents
stop her and make her stay
but she begs
for them to understand
that you are in trouble and that you need her
but they refuse and send her back
she shuts her door and leans against the wall
she covers her face and prays for you
she hopes bye morning it wont be too late
she lays down and cries herself to sleep
calling herself a fool for not noticing you sooner
but when morning comes it might be too late

the sun rises
she runes out the door
she runes past the group of kids that always hang out with her
she ignores the startled cries from her friends
right now she runes to a poor desperate soul
she looks everywhere but you are gone
she stops and falls to her knees
tears fall down her face and she fears it is just too late...
but in the rain
and the snow
lies a heart
that still beats full of love
then she feels a hand on her shoulder
she looks up
and sees your face
you ask her whats wrong
she jumps up and grabs you in a big hug
she is crying and begging for your forgivness
but you tell her she did nothing wrong

you both finally feel
you both finally have a friend
she has a friend that will always be around
and you have friend that will always comfort you
becuase now you both laugh and play
she takes you everywhere with her
you are happy she helps you fit in
now you both finally realize
friendship is always never too late
because now you both stand in the rain
but not alone
